Leibniz: Political Writings
Published in Paperback by Cambridge Univ Pr (Pap Txt) (September, 1981)
Average review score:

Riley from someone who has studied under the RileyPatrick Riley takes Leibniz to a new Level. As a student of Riley I learned first hand what this book was all about. Exploration of Leibniz both as a philosopher and as a jurisprude were taken into acount in this anthology. This is an excelent companion to his book "Leibniz' Universal Jurisprudence: Justice As the Charity of the Wise." The previously unpublished (and untraslated) works present in this anthology show Leibniz's reaction to rationalist and theological determinism, as well as complement Leibniz's own Theodecy. This is a must buy for anyone who wants to Learn about Leibniz's philosophy, or just read it for fun

The Lives of Riley
Published in Audio Cassette by High Top Sports Production (October, 1994)
Average review score:

a great biographyThe Lives of Riley is the ultimate portrait of the current Miami Heat Coach and President Pat Riley. Heisler traces back Riley's childhood and details the life of Pat's father, Lee. He also looks at Riles' playing days at Kentucky as well as his journeyman NBA career. The most impressive section is how Riley became Lakers' coach and continued their winning tradition. Heisler also examines Chris Riley's role in her husband's career and Pat's revival with the New York Knicks. After reading this, you will understand what makes Riles so successful and such an awesome motivator.

The Mbeere in Kenya
Published in Hardcover by University Press of America (19 July, 1988)
Average review score:

The Mbeere in Kenya : Changing rural ecologyThe first of a two volume series that provides a detailed look at the history and current status of the Mbeere people. While living with the tribe in the Peace Corps it provided valuable information that otherwise would have remained unknown to me as much of it is based on oral stories and knowledge. The history of the people as shown through goverment documents, pictures, stories, and previous antropologist studies are all included in the first half of this comprehensive set. It is a fine reference for anyone who wishes to study the tribe and its history.

Parker's biography of Milton is the finest study of the poetParker carefully balances his focus on Milton's life and the poet's immortal works. Parker begins his study by letting the reader know that he is both a lover of Milton's art and an admirer of Milton the individual. One who devotes time to this considerable study will certainly obtain similar sentiments.
